OUR STORY

Tim and Felipe met in Delray Beach more than twenty years ago. Delray is a recovery town, and between them they have seen every version of the story: the interventions, the treatment stays, the relapses, the comebacks, and the families holding their breath through all of it.

Then life did what life does. Tim went north to Philadelphia and spent years on the front lines of treatment, guiding people through their hardest days. Felipe left Delray in 2013 for his hometown of New York City, got sober, earned an Executive MBA, and built a career as a real estate executive. He is living proof of what recovery makes possible when someone stays the course.

In 2023, both found their way back to Delray. That's where they met Rabbi Mark Rotenberg. Mark had spent fifteen years in arts and design before addiction unraveled that life, and finding sobriety set him on a new one. He trained as an addiction counselor at UCLA, returned to the faith of his childhood, and was ordained a rabbi, building an open and inclusive practice from his own struggle to make peace with it. By the time the three met, he had spent twenty-five years walking people and their families through intervention, counseling, and the spiritual work of getting well.

Comparing their three journeys, one truth kept surfacing. People rarely lose their recovery in treatment. They lose their footing in the transitions: the ride home, the new city, the new job, the family that hasn't healed yet. Each of us has lived those moments ourselves. So we built Alongside to stand in exactly those gaps. We walk with our clients and their families through every step of every transition, all the way to the other side and beyond. Not above you. Alongside.

HOW WE WORK

Four commitments, kept quietly.

Discretion first

Nothing is shared without consent. Not with employers, not with family, not with anyone.

Continuity over programs

One advisor owns the plan end to end. You never re-explain your situation.

Candor, always

If we're not the right fit, we say so on the first call, and help you find who is.

Beside, not above

No lectures, no ultimatums from us. Respect for the adult in front of us, at every stage.

THE TEAM

The people who answer the phone.
